This game is challenging, but you had me trying to survive to see what was behind the next door. The art accomplished what you were attempting to do. I felt like I was playing an old PS1 game. Great job.

I learned that getting a good solid concept together, making that work well, and keeping the core gameplay loop down to 5 minutes or less is the best. We had a solid idea, and developed a great prototype, then we got ambitious. Our game has 3 levels, a shop, and a 10 minute time frame per level. For a final release, that time frame would not be a problem, but we should have focused on just one level and making that solid. Unfortunately, ambitions outweighed reason and our game is a little bloated for a jam. We had three artists and two programmers, so the art them is not cohesive.

I think for future jams, we are going to keep it simple and make something solid for the theme, then if time permits, we will start working on extra stuff. Also, we were trying to release the game for browser play, but we missed the mark on that and had to release a downloadable version.

It was a fun experience, even if it did consume a ton of my extra time.

Solid job, gentlemen.
